Betfair iPad app
The Betfair iPad app is, in our opinion, the best iPad-betting app for in play betting as it has a great in play console. Betfair have specifically built their iPad app to make use of the larger screen of the iPad and the app allows you to view more markets and more live games at once. Betfair give all new customers up to £100 in free bets when you join.
*New customer offer. Place 5 x €10 or more bets to receive €20 in free bets. Repeat up to 5 times to receive maximum €100 bonus. Min odds 1/2 (1.5). Exchange bets excluded. T&Cs apply.
Once you have registered as a customer then search the app store on your iPad for “Betfair” then download and install. You can now login in the top right hand corner and start betting, you can securely deposit and withdraw from the “my account” section of the app.
Betfair iPad app review
Once you start using the Betfair iPad app you will be very impressed with the ease of use and the speed of the app even if you are using it over 3G. The iPad app is one of only a couple of sports betting apps that have been specifically designed for iPad and is not just a reflection of the iPhone app. There is also now a couple of apps to choose from, exchange betting, sports betting and casino apps.
If you are looking for the casino app click here for the betfair casino review.
This is the app predominately advertised by Betfair and is a standard betting app for punters, we’ll cover the exchange app shortly. The app is really well designed and comes in the Betfair yellow and branding as you’d expect. The app is (in Betfairs words) as simple as #taptapboom claiming its two taps and then your bet is placed! For singles and in plays this is right – its lightening fast to get your bets on.
When you first hit the iPad app look for the yellow banner under the quick sports links – here’s where you can choose your welcome offer. You can take the standard bet £10 get £30 in free bets or you can take an enhanced odds offer for potentially a bigger return and a free bet if it loses anyway. These offers are not exclusive to the Betfair iPad app and you’ll find the TV advertised offers here too.
I personally like the Betfair sports book home page on iPad, it has a simple and uncluttered look. Across the top you have the quick links for the major sports (football, horse racing, tennis, golf and others) as well as links to the arcade, casino and live casino. Under this you get the existing customer offers – enhanced odds on certain daily selections that all customers can back.
On the right hand side you get the trending bets – these are the most popular bets currently and are a mix of pre match and in play. On the Betfair iPad app these update and refresh very quickly unlike the most popular bets on Oddschecker for example. Then across the bottom you have links back to the home screen as well as the a to z list of sports.
Scroll through the home page and you’ll get to the main events of the day – this covers the big matches in Football and Tennis as well as the big races of the day.
Betfair are one of very few companies to offer cash out in running on UK horse racing and they have an excellent platform for raving bettors. What stands out is the detailed coverage of each race – tap the arrow by a horse to get its form and previous race results along with a short write up on its chances. You can also see the trending odds to see if the horse is shortening or drifting in the market.
The exchange has a similar look and feel to the sports book app but I’d say its a bit less flashy. The home page has links down the right for the days football matches and quick links to todays popular bets on the main feed. You’ll also find the feeds for the most popular bets, todays horse racing and games. The app has a handy cash out tab on the middle of the left bar so you’re never far away from getting to your bets.
