Which Clubs Perform Best On Boxing Day?
The Christmas fixture list can be gruelling, particularly for clubs with smaller squads.
It’s going to be a big three games for every club, particularly when it comes to the title race, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all treading on each other’s toes at the top.
Of the three, Liverpool have the best record when it comes to winning on Boxing Day, with a 46% record. However, both City and Chelsea follow closely at 44%.
Manchester United naturally have the best record, with the club winning a staggering 55% of top flight games on December 26.
West Ham have the worst record, so they’ll be pleased to avoid date, facing Southampton the following day. Burnley and Newcastle have also lost less than a third of games on Boxing Day, both of whom have tough Merseyside opposition this season.
