Martial Looking To Showcase Talents In Spain

Reports have come out today confirming that Martial will be moving abroad for the remainder of the season.

Sporting Director of Sevilla, Monchi, has been rumoured to have been in negotiations for eight weeks in an attempt to secure Martial’s services.

If the reports are correct, those eight weeks have not been wasted, with claims being made that Martial has agreed a loan deal.

A Nice Birthday Present

The deal lands on Sevilla’s 132nd birthday and bolsters up an attack that has already performed well enough to be placed second in La Liga after twenty two games.

Sevilla are just four points shy of the leaders Real Madrid and six points clear of third place Real Betis.

Martial is said to have preferred this option, despite bigger clubs from around Europe displaying strong interest. Therefore, it looks like game time on the pitch seems to be the priority right now for the French forward.

He was called upon very rarely under Solskjaer and that hasn’t changed much since The appointment of Rangnick. Martial is believed to have requested a move away and it appears that United have accepted it, until June.

That move will see Sevilla cover Martial’s £250,000 weekly wage, with no option to buy after the loan period. That will leave Martial with 18 months left on his contract after singing a five year deal back in January 2019.

The deal looks on paper to be a good one for all parties involved and it will be interesting to see how Martial adjusts to the Spanish style of play and how he beds in.

An impressive six month spell from the 26 year old could well open up a whole host of opportunities in the summer and could well bump up his price tag.
