England v Argentina

A lot of history between these two teams, much of which England will not want repeating. Argentina and England have hustled and bustled to get to the semi finals. 

However, the England players have played with a great team spirit, with unity shining right through it. Argentina have come across more as the Messi show, rather than a team united. 

If lessons are learned from 1986 and Maradona, If England can keep Messi largely dormant (easier said than done!), then I believe we have the better quality elsewhere on the pitch and will get the job done in 90 minutes to reach the final for the first time in 60 years.

France v Spain

France, ranked number one in the world playing Spain, ranked third makes for a very interesting semi final tie. Both teams have kept a tight defence while doing enough up top to get to this stage. France have score sixteen and have conceded two. Spain have scored eleven and conceded one. 

Thirteen of France’s goals have come from Mbappe and Dembele and it’s France for me who have looked e most competent so far at getting the job done. Therefore, i’m backing the France win in 90 minutes.
