The app is very robustly built. There have been some theme changes from white to dark over the years, but the bold orange branding of 888 Sport has always remained a key element of the overall design.

The current theme is set on a dark background, which I prefer. Especially at night time or in a dark setting. The information is well laid out and plenty of menu options allow users to get where they want to be quickly and efficiently.

When using a tablet, you are taken straight to the desktop site which works perfectly on the larger screen. It features an excellent stats station, providing all the latest information on football and horse racing stats. The app is responsive across different sizes so always looks sharp.

Horse Racing on the 888 Sport app

The horse racing section looks very slick indeed and contains some very handy tools. The betfinder tool can save hours of digging through stats to locate the type of horse you are looking for. You can filter horses by course, rating, by those who placed or won last time out, previous course winner and many, many more!

Another great horse racing feature is that all UK and Ireland horse racing action can be viewed for free directly on the app. All that is required is for the user to be logged in and the live streams will be available to watch. This is a major advantage over other bookmakers, who require you to have a deposited account or a bet on the race in order to qualify to watch the race live. 888sport is a very good betting app for horse racing with features that are unique to 888.

Football Bet Builder

888 have released a bet builder feature for football, American football and basketball betting. Pick an applicable event and combine multiple markets together to get a unique bet priced up and ready to be placed.

The bet builder system is simple to use. If the feature is available on an event, it will appear as an option in the market category menu. When users enter the bet builder, there are a whole load of markets to consider. It is possible to combine basic markets like the outright win market and both teams to score. There are then more exotic markets like player bookings, woodwork to be hit and a goal to be scored from a header.

The odds are shown immediately for the selections that have been made. The odds are then updated to reflect what the odds would be if the current market highlighted were to be selected also.  Once you are happy with the selections and the price offered, you can then add the combined single to their bet slip. All that’s then left to do is to enter a stake amount and to place the bet.

The BetFeed feature allows users to see what other people are betting on. trending bets will appear here across all sports, detailing when exactly a bet was last placed on that selection. Obviously, no personal details are shared with the information, the tool just shares the fact that the selection has ben bet on.

This is above and beyond the amount of information most bookmakers are willing to share, so we take our hats off to 888Sport for providing this.

In-Play Betting

Tapping on the live now option from the home page will take you to all the events that are in-play. There’s also a Featured Live Games section added to the homepage that covers all the main events. Selecting a particular game will open up the in-play screen.

From here you can view what is happening in the game, thanks to vibrant graphic visualisations. Beneath that are the in-play markets that are available to be bet on. The graphic at the top of the page can be changed with a swipe to display all of the key stats from the action that has already taken place.
