William Hill android app review
As soon as you start using the William Hill Android app you get a feeling for how fantastic it is. The home page has quick links to William Hills most popular sports, Horse racing, football, tennis and cricket with separate links to casino games such as Roulette and Blackjack, casino games will open in a new window.
When you select a specific sport you can get the top 10 most popular bets that William Hill customers are backing at that time, this is great to use if you are looking for another bet to add to your accumulator.
This is a fantastic addition from William Hill and you can either tweet them with #YourOdds or message them through the Android app (APK version). Select what you want to bet on and they will price it up for you on selected games (live Premiership and some European games). Here’s a quick video explaining what to do –
For football betting you can go into the “by day” section to get a full list of all the games that are on that day and place a win-draw-win acca from the one page. This makes the app one of the easiest app to use for football acca’s.
If you select a game you are then taken into the full list of markets on offer, usually around 180-200 for the big games. There are other option on the football home page to find more coupons like both teams to score and under over 2.5 goals. This is easier to get your your acca’s on quickly through the coupons than selecting each game and then the markets.
Horse racing betting
You also get a good range of horse racing markets to bet on with a wealth of information under the horse racing tab. Just like the football you can see the current top 10 bets under the “hot picks” and theirs quick links to the next starting races across the top meaning if your in a rush you can get straight to the next race to bet on.
The William Hill app (both iPhone, android and the desktop site) also has the benefit of the racing post guide to each race with a link up between the two companies (this is great as there’s no racing post app on android either). Like most betting apps you can stream all the at the races channel races through your mobile when you place a £1 bet on that race with William Hill.
The current horse racing offer is called bet 2 clear and you get a 15% bonus (paid as a free bet or “Ad hoc” token) if your horse wins by 2 lengths or more. This is on selected races so check under the racing tab to see todays races.
The stream does look better on tablet and is around 20-30 seconds behind so bear that in mind if you are planning to bet in race. You get all the usual William Hill markets on the app too, as well as the multiple bet options, including lucky 15s, lucky 31s and all the other options you may be looking for (all available each way of course). Overall the William Hill android app is our top rated app for horse racing and football betting.
This is one of the most popular features that’ve been added to the William Hill app in recent years. The ditherers now get the chance to cash a bet out and secure a much smaller win than letting the bet run. You’ll see twitter awash with people asking if they should cash out their bets at 4.30 every Saturday!
The simple questions to consider are – where you happy with the bet when you placed it? would the money make a difference to you? If you get nervous and can cash out for a decent amount that you need then it makes sense, if not just let it run. You’ll see examples of people cashing our for £2 when they could have just let it run and won. This is just our opinion though!
As with most major betting companies you can bet on every sport imaginable and more. The William Hill android app has other “fun” betting markets including x-factor winner, most reality TV betting and random current things like who will be the next James Bond. The maximum bet on these market is usually £25 as these are just seen as side/ fun betting markets.
In the settings you can change the odds from fractions to decimals and, if you wish, allow the app to remember your user name and password. The William Hill Android app is identical to the iPhone app that has been confirmed as the most downloaded betting app in the app store.
About William Hill
Unsurprisingly the company was formed by William Hill, who started taking bets before gambling was even legal in the UK back in 1934. He famously exposed a loop hole in UK regulations that allowed customers to bet via postal orders as betting with cash was illegal. His first attempt as an on course bookie failed with him running out of capital at a race course in County Cork. Un deterred he moved back to London and carried on taking bets and produced the first ever fixed odds football coupon 1944. You can find the latest corporate news at http://www.williamhillplc.com/
When betting was made legal he moved into betting shops and they currently have over 2,300 shops in the UK. William Hill partnered up with Playtech in 2008 as their online offering was struggling and they’ve never looked back since. Playtech implemented their technology over William Hills platform covering betting, casino, bingo and poker and together they’re the market leaders in mobile betting.
