How To Get The talkSPORTBET App

We had no issues locating the talkSPORTBET app and getting it install in our devices. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store, as well as a mobile website.

Registering for a talkSPORTBET Account

Registering for an account is quick and easy, taking less than 2 minutes to complete. A few personal details, an email address and password added and the registration is complete.

Once registered, a variety of new customer offers will be displayed to choose from.

Design And Layout

The talkSPORTBET app is ran and operated by BV Gaming Limted (BetVictor). Therefore if you are an existing BetVictor app user, the feel and layout will be a familiar one. The main difference being a slightly darker theme and the addition of talkSport’s yellow branding.

The top of the in play markets page has a section keeping you fully up to date on what is going on in the event. There’s the choice to see an animation of what is happening, to view key stats from the event or to view a visual commentary timeline.

Quick Bet

Sometimes it’s important to be able to place a bet quickly, especially with in play events. Thanks to the quick bet tool, users can place bets from as little as three taps of the screen.

1. Make your selection
2. Choose a stake of either £1, £2, £5 or £10
3. Tap on the place bet button

If a different stake amount is required more taps will be needed or you can manually add the amount by tapping on the stake box and using the numeric keypad that pops up.

If you would like to add more selections, you can minimise the quick bet box and continue to do so.

Cash Out

The ability to cash out of a bet early is built in to the talkSPORTBET app. This is available on a wide range of markets across different sports.

If a market does have the cash out feature attached there will be a small logo (a hand holding a note) alongside the expand/minimise market details button.

From experience there isn’t much difference between cash out systems across the best betting apps in the UK and this system is certainly on par with those, in our opinion.

Football Bet Builder

The Football Bet Builder feature allows you to combine selections from the same match together to produce one, multi-layered bet.

For example, combining a team to win, a player to score and both teams to score together to bring about odds of around 10/1.

All selections would need to win for the bet to pay out.

The Betbuilder has an acceptable amount of markets. However, some markets we like to incorporate, such as player cards were not present. Additionally the markets can be quite sluggish to become available, much to the annoyance of those who like to get their bets on early. 

Lucky Dip

talkSPORTBET seem to have gained some inspiration by the National Lottery by integrating a Luck Dip feature in to the app.

You can choose to take a lucky dip across a healthy amount of markets with varying odds.

Choose the odds you would like to bet on and the lucky dip tool will do the rest to randomly generate selections from within the stated market(s).

This may appeal to those who have little knowledge of the event in question. I, personally prefer to stick to betting on events I have a genuine interest in. So not a useful feature for me. However, I can see it being of benefit to others, who bet with more of a lottery style.

Footie 4 Play

talkSPORTBET offer out a free competition called Footie 4 Play to registered users, offering cash prizes and free bets in each round.

In each round 4 Premier League fixtures are revealed and you have to predict the score for each fixture. Predict at least two correctly to win a prize. 2 or 3 correct will earn you free bets and 4 correct wins a big cash prize. Full terms and conditions apply.

Horse Racing Bet Finder

Horse racing punters are blessed with a bet finder tool that can save a lot of time. The bet finder tool allows you to filter horses by one or a combination of key metrics.

You can filter the list of horses racing on a single day by:

• Horses that won at the same course
• Horses that have won at the same distance
• Improving horses
• Length of odds (short, medium or long)

Overall Summary

With the talkSPORTBET app being operated by BV Gaming Limited and run using the same software as the BetVictor app, this feels like a marketing ploy, rather than any passionate connection to the talkSPORT broadcasting brand. 

That said, the app does score highly in certain areas, such as the casino section and the amount of offers that are available. It also has a credible sports betting service, offering the majority of features we would expect on a quality betting app.

There’s room for improvement in certain areas, for example, the number of markets available on the bet builder and the timely availability of them. However on the whole the app is one we are happy to recommend and one I will continue to use in the future.
