The homepage has a familiar layout as far as betting apps go. A scrollable banner bar lays out the current bonuses and offers available.The most popular events are displayed in a list format, there’s intuitive menus and filters to help locate specific events or markets and a text input search tool.

There’s a good range of sports on offer and there’s a casino element built in to the BetUK app offering a whole host of games and jackpots.

The information on screen is well spaced out, which will be good news to those with chunky fingers and the interface is swift and accurate to touch gestures. First impressions aren’t going to blow new users away, but they certainly won’t be disappointed either.

Cash Out

The BetUK app accommodates those who like the opportunity to secure profits or minimise losses before an event has ended. Cash outs are offered on selected markets, across single and multiple bets.

However, there isn’t any partial cash out functionality here to allow users to keep a portion of their stake still active. Free bets here are without a cash out option attached. This is not the case with other bookmakers.

As with all bookmakers, the cash out feature can be removed at any time, depending on what is happening in the event and within the odds market.

Bet Builder

The Bet Builder feature is fast becoming classed as a “must have” feature for those who like betting on the football. As such, BetUK have, of course, added this to their priced up football events.

Horse racing fans will be pleased to hear that all UK and Ireland races are available on Live Stream on the BetUK app. There are also streams available from other horse racing events from around the world.

However, there is no live streaming available for any other sport. Instead users are presented with a virtual representation of what is happening, when visiting the live event page.

One big plus though in regards to the horse racing live streams are that they open up in full screen. No squinting here needed to find out where you horse is placed!

Offers and Promotions

This is one area we feel BetUK are lagging behind their competitors. Although there are ongoing offers and promotions for both new and existing customers, these tend to have high wagering or turnover requirements attached to them.

There’s a lack of any odds boosts or price enhancements. However, there is a profits boost attached to multiples that we personally appreciate, giving up to a 50% boost on accumulators. The profit boost is as follows

• 4 folds – 20% boost
• 5 folds – 30% boost
• 6 folds – 40% boost
• 7 folds – 50% boost

All odds on selections included in the accumulator must be at 1.2 or greater for the profit boost to be in play.

With BetUK’s standard odds offering being so generous, there’s no real surprise there is a lack of boost to enhance them further. However this is certainly an area they can be improving on.

The BetUK app is not one we will be hunting around in the hope of a free bet or super boost, but it has enough features to make it more than just a best price securer.

An impressive offering by BetUK, but not quite enough all round to make it in to our best betting app list. There’s a lot of potential here though and if the same amount of focus was put on the overall service as is being on best price, then this app would be a major player.
