A betting app has been launched in the UK, designed specifically with the LGBT+ community in mind.
The Bet4pride app is available to be enjoyed by everybody. However, intentions here are to create a betting app and social experience that the LGBT+ community can feel safe and confident to engage in.
Why separate LGBT+ users?
Some may see this as an insult to the LGBT+ community, perceiving that people who identify as LGBT+ are somehow being segregated off.
This is not the case at all. LGBT+ members are welcome to join any betting app they wish. However, a level of prejudice still exists within today’s society despite the positive progress that has been made over the last few decades.
Therefore, some LGBT+ members may very well feel intimidated to join and engage with a betting app, whose members are predominantly straight males – statistically the group is most likely to display prejudicial behaviour.
“We want to lead the way in creating a ‘gayming’ experience where our members can relax and enjoy being their authentic selves.” (Bet4pride)
The Bet4pride app aims to provide a platform where said individuals can find a safe platform to bet on, within a like-minded betting community. They also pledge to donate 10% of their profits to different LGBT+ support groups around the world.
Bet4pride are also animal lovers
The app is also friendly to those sports fans who support animal rights. Bet4pride do not allow any sports markets on their app that involves an animal participating. That means users will not be able to bet on horse racing and greyhounds with the Bet4pride app.
People that are looking to bet on horses or dogs will have to find an alternative betting app to use.
How to get the Bet4pride app
The Bet4pride app is not yet available in the App Store or Play store. It currently serves only as a mobile app, accessible from a mobile browser.
The homepage of the mobile site can be saved onto the home screen with an app logo by selecting the ‘add to home screen option from either the share icon or mobile browser settings. This then allows for much quicker access to the site in the future, behaving just like an app would.
Bet4pride app review
The app is fully licensed in the UK and regulated by the gambling commission, as are all of the credible online betting services offered. It looks good, has a good layout, and provides a lot of choices. Despite animal events being missing, there are still over 50 different sports and events to bet on. Each of which holds a wide range of markets.
Some of the Less well-known events include;
- The Oscars.
- TV shows such as Love Island.
- Politics.
- E-sports.
- Poker.
Promotions and bonuses
Promotions are available in the app to be taken advantage of, although not as many as other apps out there. A new customer bonus is usually offered on top of prize draws and money-back bets.
There’s enough to keep users checking in every now and then to see what’s new.
The app is still very much in its infancy at this stage. Promotions May very well increase once the platform becomes more ‘user established’.
Statistics
The app holds a statistics section the holds all the historic information needed to make informed selections. A link to this section can be found in the footer of the app and is very useful indeed.
Casino
Complimenting the sports betting is a casino section that offers a multitude of slots and games to enhance the experience further. There’s a live casino too, offering live streams to casino tables and real dealers for a more interactive experience.
Round-up
To conclude, the app is credible, is designed well and we like what the brand stands for. More features and offers could be added and we fully expect them to in the future as the brand and app gain traction within the LGBT+ community.
A live help customer service option would also be a nice addition as email is currently the only option for queries outside of the FAQs section.
The choice is great and the ability to bounce between sport and casino with just one account is a nice benefit too.
We don’t expect this app to compete with the major players in the industry anytime soon but certainly fills a niche that may well be beneficial to those who Bet4pride aims to serve.
